Wired Magazine’s Expose on Silk Road

Today the online Magazine “Wired” published part two of its expose on the rise and fall of Silk Road, the Amazon dot com for drugs and all sorts of contraband that the Feds took down in 2013. The Dread Pirate Roberts, Silk Road’s genius amateur coder and inventor turned out to be Ross William Ulbricht a clean-cut Texas kid from a well-to-do Austin area family. Silk Road was operated as a Tor hidden service, such that online users were able to browse it anonymously and securely without potential traffic monitoring.
